Responsible conversational translation

Keep the conversation open.

Context-aware translation for real social-sector conversations, at the moment the opportunity to help is already in the room.

A web application. Nothing to install, for you or for the person in front of you.

My turnYour turn

Use professional interpreters where professional interpreting is needed.

01 / Share

The conversation holds center stage.

Each person writes in their own language and the translation happens turn by turn, in the browser both of them are already looking at. Speech in and out is the next thing being built.

02 / Hold

The twenty minutes at the front door.

Most services have an interpreter route for the formal appointment. Very few have anything for the conversation that decides whether the formal appointment ever happens. Today that conversation runs on a booked interpreter days away, a phone line with a wait and no context, a family member who should not be in the room, or a consumer translation app nobody can check.

My Words is for that twenty minutes. Terminology, the situation, named people and places, and earlier answers carry forward, so the twelfth turn still knows what the first turn established.

03 / Know

A useful tool knows where it stops.

My Words is an additional option for appropriate everyday interactions. If the source is ambiguous it asks the speaker what they meant. If the conversation is formal, clinical or legal, it is the wrong tool and says so.

04 / Continue

Do not let language get in the way of a conversation.

My Words is tested and in use, with 40 languages, both conversation surfaces, and an audit trail. Independent academic validation is being arranged with a UK university partner.
