Uncertainty

A question is a better answer than a guess

The failure a translation tool never admits to is the confident wrong sentence. Two mechanisms exist specifically to stop that.

Self-revision

When a translation scores below threshold, My Words produces a better one and shows that it did. The worker does not have to detect the problem to get the fix, and the original stays in the record.

Clarification

When the source cannot be translated confidently, the mediator writes a short, specific question back to the speaker in their own language. Not "please rephrase", but a question about the exact thing that was unclear.

Both exist so that uncertainty stays on the screen. A system that hides it reads most confidently at the moment it has gone furthest wrong.

Design commitment

Never assert more than was measured

A score marker means a score was produced for that turn. Where no score exists, nothing is shown. An absent check is drawn as absent, not as a pass.

My Words does not claim guaranteed accuracy, and the interface is built so that no one could reasonably read it as claiming that.
